Castle Group was contracted by John Paul Construction as a partner in the fit-out of the new three-storey 8,340m², Oncology Centre at University Hospital Galway. The project involved installing Gyproc partitions and ceilings, various types of ceilings including Mineral Fibre ceilings, SAS Metal ceilings, and Knauf Ceilings, as well as plastering, soffit insulation, and skimming. The new building is connected to the existing hospital via a single-storey 40m enclosed link corridor. Throughout the construction, the hospital remained fully operational, necessitating ongoing coordination and liaison with hospital staff and management.
